Meet Funk In The Name

Funk In The Name (FITN) is a 9-piece brass band from Littleton, Colorado, bringing high-energy, funk-infused music to stages across the Denver area. With a sound rooted in second-line traditions and flavored with jazz, pop, soul, and hip-hop, FITN is on a mission to get every audience moving to the power of brass and funk.

Born from jam sessions and busking throughout Colorado, FITN has grown into a dynamic force of mostly college-aged musicians. Since their formation in 2023, their spontaneous beginnings have fueled lively and unforgettable performances at Colorado staples like Dazzle Denver, Elitch Gardens, 5 Points Brass Festival, Boulder County Fair, and more.

With blazing horns, driving rhythms, and a contagious love for their craft, Funk In The Name throws a party every time they take the stage.
